Demonstrating a company-wide commitment to health and safety and Corporate Social Responsibility for its customers and employees, Serviceline has won The International Safety Award for the sixth year in a row!

Run by the British Safety Council and supported by the HSE, The International Safety Awards scheme singles out for praise companies that can prove the highest commitment to health and safety.

The Award recognises that Serviceline has driven improvements to health and safety in its many workplaces – from restaurants and hotels to prisons, sports stadia, hospitals and business & industry sites throughout the UK.

In order to win this prestigious award, an organisation must demonstrate that it has comprehensive health and safety policies in place, as well as a commitment from the shopfloor to the boardroom to a positive safety culture and the adoption of behaviours that have safe and healthy working practices at their heart. Providing workers with the necessary skills and competence to ensure risks to health and safety are properly controlled is vital too.

The Safety Council only makes this level of award following assessment on three main points: -

• Evidence of significant health and safety advances.
• Key documents relating to health and safety.
• Demonstration of board level commitment to health and safety.

Serviceline Managing Director Steve Elliott said: “Our customers can be assured that we can match the very highest standards of Corporate Social Responsibility.

“Serviceline’s health and safety regimes, processes and qualifications are judged at least equal to the best achieved by industry and commerce. Serviceline Service Engineers carry a variety of individual safety awards including Gas Safe (formerly known as CORGI), Safe Handling of Refrigerants and First Aiders. Also, many Serviceline Engineers are working towards the BSC’s own Health and Safety at work Certificate."
